Inspired by Alin Serban, Transylvania Restaurant is Bristol’s longest established authentic and traditional Romanian cuisine. The venue, an unusual city centre setting, with decor to suit the home of Dracula – Transylvania Castle.
With Dracula himself at the door to greet you, and in the main room bats above you waiting for an opportunity to “steal” your meal! It’s a great setting, with a fun image and music to suit. You may even say its a little creepy…..
Transylvania finds itself on the first floor at 44 Park Street, with an unmissable sign, depicting the Castle itself. Parking is off-street and easy to get to. We cater to both private parties such as christenings, birthdays and engagement as well as wedding parties.
Currently, we have a great offer for the after-work diner, 2 courses for only £9.95 between 5pm and 7pm from Monday to Thursday, well worth a visit.
MENU
Some of the most well known local Romanian dishes have been brought to you by head chef Petrica Serban. Tochitura, Dracula’s favourite dish being our most popular choice is a great combination of cooked lean pork and smoked sausage accompanied with gerkins and a cheesy polenta mash topped with a fried egg, smiling at you!!
Our soups and broths are served in crusty sourdough soup bowls, and no the soup does not leak from its bread bowl! Produce is locally sourced and supplied fresh daily. Chef Petrica prides himself on preparing your dish to order and hopes you appreciate the little wait to enjoy your freshly prepared experience.
We have added a great selection of Vegan and Vegetarian dishes to cater to all tastes and these dishes now form an integral part of our cuisine (please see menu). For those looking to dine with Dracula but wanting something a little more continental, we serve some great classics such as chilli prawn linguini, our own-made beef patties, calamari, and succulent pan-fried trout.
A dish for all tastes awaits you….
