Liggy set up the business way back in 2007 with the aim of becoming Scotland’s leading cake business. Following an initial successful 2 years in Edinburgh she opened the Bearsden branch with the aim of growing the business into the West of Scotland whilst retaining the quality and service the customers have come to expect. Now Liggy is more likely to be found behind her laptop than in the bakery however she does love teaching our ever popular cake decorating classes and meeting our beautiful brides to be to chat all things wedding!
- Claire
Claire has always loved designing and decorating cakes, having joined the company in 2009 she has been working hard to develop our much loved “house style”. As creative director of the company Claire designs all of the cakes produced from the client’s initial idea. Claire’s background was studying fine art in Brighton and she loves the creative process of designing a cake. Her cakes begin life in her sketchbooks which are full of colour swatches, patterns, drawings and inspirations. Her love of photography goes hand-in hand with her cakes and she can often been seen snapping away on her camera! It is Claire’s aim to ensure that the company remains at the cutting edge of cake design in Scotland.

Megan joined the company in 2012 as our Ops/Admin Manager. She ensures all our beautiful cakes are where they need to be, looking fab and tasting great! Megan is our organisational mastermind liaising with every one of our brides and venues individually on the run up to their big day, ensuring every detail of their wedding cake is to their exact specification and totally perfect.
- Nikki
Nikki is an integral part of our team in Edinburgh and came to us following an intensive year learning the art of Sugarcraft at City of Glasgow College where she honed her skills in all things cake! Nikki is a true perfectionist and loves creating the stunning sugar flowers that adorn our wedding cake designs.
- Melanie
Melanie’s background was in jewellery rather than cakes initially but her creative flair allowed her to adapt her skills into all things sugar related. Her eye for detail and perfectionism see her take on the most intricate jobs in the cake shop!
