Established in 1976 by Tom and Peta Keen, this Welsh countryside gem started with a modest planting of soft fruits on a single farm field. Officially opened in 1978 as a Pick Your Own fruit farm, it quickly expanded its offerings to include a variety of currants, gooseberries, and strawberries in the early 1980s. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, it grew to become the largest and most visited fruit business in South Wales, renowned for supplying freshly picked raspberries and strawberries to local restaurants in Cardiff and the Vale.
Today, the farm is managed by the founders' successors who have infused new life into the venture. Enhancements include an expanded shop, a coffee area, and continuous operation throughout the summer, making it a favored destination for both day trips and fruit picking.
Attractions include a children’s play area complete with hay bales and willow domes, enhancing its appeal as a family-friendly venue. Later this summer, the farm will debut a new maze and trail feature, offering engaging activities such as themed trails and quizzes, further enriching the visitor experience.
