This timber structure, originally part of a grand royal palace, is the oldest building in the country serving as a Register Office. Built for the Earl of Arundel in 1237, it later became the residence of Queen Isabella and the Black Prince, Edward.
Though it faced decline and disrepair over centuries, it stands today, beautifully restored, as a symbol of Coventry's rich heritage. The gatehouse, along with parts of the original manor house, has been transformed into a unique venue for significant life ceremonies.
