I usually provide what is known as walkabout entertainment, mixing & mingling during drinks receptions or winding my way around dining tables and the like. Sometimes though it's more appropriate to work stationary, where guests come to sit for me in singles, couples and groups. In any case I adapt, and any setting where I'm given the opportunity to do fun, entertaining caricatures and foster a good atmosphere does the trick.
